News.

It has been a great experience to take part in such a spectacular project and it feels wonderful that this project also gets recognized by the lighting community. The lighting design has played a strong part in creating a holistic experience and we have put great efforts into the details for both the interior and exterior lighting. This year the award ceremony will be different, and it will be interesting to attend an online event. It is a strong line up of nominated projects and we are honored to be competing alongside them for the Nordic Lighting Design Award this year.

Morten Jensen, Country Manager at Light Bureau Norway.

We are very proud to announce that Under is among the finalists for the Nordic Lighting Design Awards. The nominated projects are all winners of the local lighting design awards in 2018 and 2019 from each of the five Nordic countries. Therefore, since Under won the Norwegian Lighting Award in the best indoor lighting design category in 2019 we are among the nominated projects.

This is the 4th award nomination within lighting design for Under. The restaurant has also been highly recognized within the design, gourmet and architectural industry, and has received several awards including the recent Wallpaper* Design Award for Best New Restaurant and a Michelin star in 2020.

Since the year 2000 the award has been handed out biannually to the best lighting design projects in the Nordic within the built environment. This year, the winners will be announced during an online ceremony which will take place on UNESCO’s Day of Light on Saturday, 16 May.
